Jorge Lorenzo declared his second MotoGP world championship incredibly hard to win, after clinching the crown with second place in Australia . Lorenzo’s maiden title in 2010 was won in a year when Yamaha was the pacesetting team and his team-mate Valentino Rossi was ruled out for several races due to injury. This year Honda was often the quicker team, and Lorenzo had to fight a rearguard action to cling on to his points lead as Dani Pedrosa closed in.
