Driven by Austrian Patrick Friesacher, an ex-Formula One racer, the Red Bull NASCAR show car took to the 4.37-kilometre Circus Maximus Power Stage in Trier prior to the ADAC Rallye Deutschland closing stage getting underway on Sunday afternoon.
The demonstration proved popular with the thousands of fans who flocked to the city centre stage around the famous Porta Nigra in the south-west German city. The car also attracted considerable interest from visitors to the permanent service park in Triers Messepark.
This years Rallye Deutschland marked round nine of the 13-event WRC season and the 10th anniversary of the rallys elevation to world championship status. Sebastien Loeb, driving a Citroen DS3 WRC finished first overall ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala in a Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Chris Atkinson was the top MINI John Cooper Works WRC driver in fifth place.
